Recent Grants

The Graham Foundation is pleased to share a snapshot of recent grants awarded under the new grant-making focus areas.  This is not the full list of grants, rather a glimpse into the types of financial and in-kind support the foundation is providing in these areas.

Arts, Culture and Inspiring Spaces

Centre Stage ($100,000) For the purchase of a new facility to expand theatre operations, education, outreach and partnerships with visual artists

Meyer Center ($15,000) For the music therapy program

Senior Action ($15,000) To expand arts programming for seniors

Warehouse Theatre ($52,954) To support its executive leadership transition plan and establish a more permanent housing option for artists in residence

The Nature Conservancy ($90,000) Match funding for acquisition of land to expand recreation access and connectivity to state park property

Livable Communities

Mill Community Ministries ($25,000) For the creation of a market at the Greenlink transfer center in downtown Greenville to increase access to affordable food and expand youth job skills training opportunities

Miracle Hill Ministries ($50,000) For construction of housing for individuals transitioning from residential programs to more permanent housing

Feed & Seed ($50,000) Match funding for equipment for the regional food hub and to support continued development of the project

Strong Starts

YMCA of Greenville ($20,000) Support for the preschool program at the Judson YMCA

Safe Harbor ($10,000) For counseling services for children who are victims of domestic violence

Pathways to Economic Success

Foothills Family Resources ($30,000) General operating support for services to individuals and families as they work to gain and maintain employment and financial stability

Goodwill, Inc. ($25,000) Support for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training and job placement

Greenville County Human Relations Commission ($20,000) Support for the Financial Literacy Program

Gateway House ($35,000) Feasibility study and planning for expansion of the day facility where employment readiness, training and transition services are provided to individuals with mental disabilities

Greenville Tech Foundation ($25,000) Stipends for students experiencing a crisis that may lead to drop-out

Community Capacity and Leadership

Greenville Partnership for Philanthropy ($5,000 grant + $10,000 in-kind) Operational support and office/conference room space

Rebuild Upstate ($30,000) To support a fund development approach that may be replicated in other non-profit organizations

Greenville Homeless Alliance ($33,500) To support the development of a collaborative plan to address homelessness in Greenville and a structure to sustain collective action
